About

Dear Brothers and Sisters...

Our population in India is estimated to be about 18 crores. Moreover as a section of Hindu population, ours is the only community present in every village and city of our country distributed under five occupational groups, i.e., Blacksmiths, Carpenters, Bell metal workers (Metal casters), Sculptors and Goldsmiths.

But we are unorganised nationally and in various states, in fact, highly divided under sub castes among innumerable organisations. Moreover in many states they are placed in most backward class or scheduled class depending on their social backwardness. In states such as Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan our status is a little better than other most backward class where as in most other states it is very poor

As per our belief our race originated from the five faces of the Lord Viswakarma, the supreme god and creator of the universe. Five Rishis,

  • Sanaga Rishi
  • Sanaathana Rishi
  • Abhuvanasa Rishi,
  • Prathana Rishi
  • Suparnasa Rishi

who originated from the five faces of the Lord viswakarmeswara is responsible for the five gotras which descended to 25 upagotras and spread to all parts of the world. They are responsible for the creation of civilisations of Mohanjadaro-Harappa of Indian subcontinent, Mayan civilisation, Greek civilisation and other such civilisations elsewhere in the world. This shows the great achievement of our community in the past
